Experienced and dedicated International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) care is available to you for help to succeed in your breastfeeding goals

Breastfeeding knowledge is power!

The more you know about breastfeeding before your baby arrives, the better prepared you will be for the all-encompassing newborn experience. In addition, getting assistance and support soon after delivery especially if you have difficulties and are struggling, will encourage and empower you to keep nursing your baby for as long as you desire. Breastfeeding is a learned skill, and confidence grows with practice. While each mother’s breastfeeding journey will be different, and struggles and stress may happen, having someone at your side ready to help and encourage you along the way, will see you through this challenging time.

Hello! I’m Carolyn, a mother/baby nurse and board-certified lactation consultant (RN,IBCLC,RLC), with over 30 years combined personal and professional experience supporting countless breastfeeding mothers and babies in hospital perinatal, NICU, pediatric, and outpatient settings. After leaving the hospital setting, my dedication and passion of assisting, supporting, and educating breastfeeding mothers and babies continues in my private practice as Momma & Babe Lactation Consulting, LLC. From prenatal breastfeeding classes and consultations, to postpartum visits via telehealth, in-person or home, let me know how I may support you!

“First time mom”

Carolyn is amazing! As a first time mom, I didn’t even know what to expect or what questions I should ask. In a private session with Carolyn, she was so thorough, informative, and made me feel very comfortable. When my little one arrived, I felt that I knew exactly what to do, but we actually had a hard time with her latch. The best part is, amongst the pain, lack of sleep, and self-recovery, Carolyn was the one who reached out to me to see how things were going. She was readily available to answer questions and offer support, and overall made me feel so much better and helped me succeed in my breastfeeding journey.

“Fourth baby”

I cannot say enough good things about Carolyn! Our little one was 4 months and starting to decline in weight. With her being my fourth baby, I had exhausted everything I knew to do. After one session with Mrs. Carolyn we were able to try a couple of new things and by her 6 months appointment she was above average on the weight curve! I am over joyed to have been able to continue full time breast feeding without supplementing, thanks to her expertise. We were so loved and cared for and I will continue to recommend her to all of my mommy friends.
