Hello, allow me to introduce myself! I’m Carolyn, a mother of five children and grandmother of five. I’ve been in your shoes, so I know what you’re experiencing as a mother with a new baby, and while exciting, it is not easy. I breastfed my five children, including the last two of whom were twins, but each experience was different and had its own challenges. I learned through each experience, persevered, and am thankful to have successfully breastfed all five as long as possible. While I didn’t have any expert support breastfeeding, I wish I did have help especially when problems came up. Many years later, when three of my daughters had their children, they were excited to have Mom (aka. Gigi) as their own personal lactation nurse for support, and I am happy to be there for them! Besides my most important job as Mom and Gigi, I have been a mother/baby nurse and international board-certified lactation consultant (RN,IBCLC,RLC), with over 30 years combined personal and professional experience supporting countless breastfeeding mothers and babies in hospital perinatal, NICU, pediatric, and outpatient settings. After leaving the hospital setting, my dedication and passion of assisting, supporting, and educating breastfeeding mothers and babies continues in my private practice as an IBCLC and owner of Momma & Babe Lactation Consulting, LLC. Whether a visit in-person or home in the Waco-Central Texas area, a virtual (telehealth) visit wherever you may live, or a private or group breastfeeding class, I would love to meet and support you through your breastfeeding journey!
